Overlays
Get shareable URLs for game graphics (roster, score banner, MVP, etc.) that can be loaded as browser sources in third-party video production tools (OBS, vMix, Wirecast, XSplit, etc.).
Use these overlays when you broadcast your games outside of Mismatch Streaming — for example, when a separate video crew produces the stream — and want the same live graphics that the Mismatch Plus and Pro tiers provide.
How to Get the Overlay Links
Section titled “How to Get the Overlay Links”-
Open the Calendar and click on the game event
-
In the event details popup, click “Get Overlay Links”
-
A text file is downloaded with the name:
overlays - YYYY-MM-DD - {event title}.txt -
Open the file. Each overlay is listed as a label followed by a tokenized URL:
Rosterhttps://app.mismatch.gr/v1/overlays/{gameId}/roster?token=...Startershttps://app.mismatch.gr/v1/overlays/{gameId}/starters?token=...... -
Send the file to your video operator. They paste the URLs into their production software as browser sources to display the overlays during the broadcast.
Available Overlays
Section titled “Available Overlays”Each overlay is a self-contained web page that updates automatically while the game is in progress. The file you download includes every overlay below, in the order they’re typically used during a broadcast — your video operator picks the ones they want to display and switches between them as needed.
| Overlay | Description |
|---|---|
| Roster | Full roster card for each team. Shown in the pre-game build-up. |
| Starters | Starting lineups for both teams. Best displayed just before tip-off. |
| Score Banner | Live scoreboard with team names, logos, score, period, and game clock. Typically displayed throughout the game. |
| Scoreboard | Compact scoreboard graphic, in two versions: Scoreboard comes filled with the score and period (not the game clock), while Scoreboard Template is empty, so the video operator can put their own feed on top of it (e.g. a picture-in-picture of the court scoreboard). |
| Team Comparison | Side-by-side team statistics. Good for breaks and halftime. |
| Best Performance | Top-performing player of a quarter. There is a separate link for each quarter (Q1–Q4), to show at the end of that quarter. |
| MVP | MVP card highlighting the standout player of the game. Shown after the final buzzer. |
Using the URLs in OBS
Section titled “Using the URLs in OBS”Each URL is a regular HTTPS web page designed to be embedded as a Browser Source. Overlays are rendered at 1920×1080 (Full HD) — match this resolution in your production software for the sharpest result. As an example, in OBS:
- In the Sources panel, click + → Browser
- Name the source (e.g., “Score Banner”)
- Paste the corresponding URL from the downloaded file into the URL field
- Set Width to
1920and Height to1080 - Tick “Shutdown source when not visible” or “Refresh browser when scene becomes active” (either one is enough)
- Click OK
The overlay appears in your scene with a transparent background and updates automatically as the game progresses. Repeat for each overlay you want available, and toggle their visibility from your production software during the broadcast.
The same approach works in vMix, Wirecast, XSplit, and any other tool that supports a web browser source — use the same 1920×1080 size for the browser input.
Security & Sharing
Section titled “Security & Sharing”- Each URL contains a token that grants read-only access to that specific game’s overlays. Treat the file as you would a shared link — anyone with the URLs can display the overlays.
- Tokens are scoped to the single game and cannot be used to access other games or to modify any data.
- The links remain valid for the duration of the game. If you need a new file later, click “Get Overlay Links” again from the event popup.
