Studio

Mismatch Studio is a browser-based tool for adding live voice commentary to a stream. A studio operator opens the game in their browser, watches the live broadcast, and speaks into a microphone. Their voice is mixed into the outgoing stream in real time, kept in sync with the video, with the court audio lowered while they speak.

Studio runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install and no equipment beyond a computer, a microphone, and headphones. The studio operator does not need to be at the venue.

Studio is available to organisations that have the Livestream addon. It commentates a stream that is already running, so you start and operate the stream as usual (see Stream Control).

Two roles are involved:

  • Administrators give users access to Studio and assign a studio operator to each game.
  • Studio operators (users in the organisation with the Studio permission) open the games they are assigned to and commentate them.
