Overlays

The studio operator can put stats cards on the live stream from the Overlays panel in Studio. A card appears on the broadcast over the video until you hide it or show another card.

  • The game’s assigned studio operator.
  • Organisation owners and administrators.

The Overlays panel appears only when the game has statistics recorded for it. Every card is built from those statistics. A game without statistics shows no panel.

A club game connected to a federation game uses the federation game’s statistics, teams, rosters and score. On those cards, home and away follow the federation game.

The panel sits at the top right of the Studio game screen, over the video. It starts closed. Click Overlays to open or close it.

The panel lists the cards in this order:

CardWhat it showsHow to show it
RosterA team’s players.Click the row, or a team button.
StartersA team’s starting players.Click the row, or a team button.
Score BannerThe competition, the game state, both teams and their scores.Click the row.
Team ComparisonBoth teams’ shooting, assists, rebounds, blocks, steals and turnovers, side by side.Click the row.
ShotchartOne team’s 2-point, 3-point and free-throw makes and percentages.Click a team button.
Best Performance ofThe best player of a quarter (Q1 to Q4), or of the whole game (Game, shown as the MVP card).Click a quarter or Game.

The panel lists only the cards your game can fill. Some cards are not available for every stats mode or sport, and are left out when they are not.

Shotchart always shows one team. Click the team’s name under the card.

Roster and Starters depend on how your organisation branded them:

  • Branded to show one team: the row shows a button per team. Click the team’s name.
  • Branded to show both teams: the row shows Both teams. Click the row.
  • Only one card is on screen at a time. Showing a card replaces the one on screen.
  • The card on screen is marked Live.
  • Click the live card (or the live team or quarter button) again to hide it.
  • Click Hide at the bottom of the panel to clear the screen. Hide always works, even if the panel does not show which card is live.

When you open Studio on a stream that already shows a card (you reloaded the page, or someone else put it up), the panel opens with that card marked Live. For Shotchart, the panel may mark the card live without marking which team. Use Hide to clear it.
